This is a significant shopping street, known for its large number of electrical shops, which range from shops specialising in cables and computer components, to shops dealing in package computers and audio-video systems. During your visit you must visit Harrods department store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge. During christmas you will be amazed with the front window displays and instore decorations.

For over 900 years the Tower has dominated the city of London and is one of the capital’s most prominent landmarks so it's an essential place to visit while on your layover. One of the highlights is seeing the Crown Jewels exhibition and Royal Armouries. There is also a legend associated with the Tower of London, which states that if the Ravens (big black birds) that live there were ever to leave the Tower, then the kingdom would fall. To prevent this from happening, the ravens that live there have their wings clipped so they can't fly!

Buckingham Palace is the London home of The Queen and Prince Philip. Don't expect to see and meet Her Majesty through as the palace is only open to the public during the summer months, while the Queen is staying at Balmoral, her Scottish castle. Purchase a ticket at the ticket booth, which is situated across the road from the Palace, opens at 09:45. A must see is the changing of the guard, which takes place at 11.30 every morning.

Tower Bridge has stood over the River Thames in London since 1894 and is one of the finest, most recognisable bridges in the world.
Exhibitions are daily (from 10.00am-6.00pm; Last Entry 5.00pm). Enjoy breathtaking views from the high-level walkways and learn about the history of Tower Bridge and how it was built. Ticket price for adults is about £5.50.
Getting there? By tube use Tower Hill on the District and Circle lines or London Bridge on the Northern and Jubilee lines.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is where the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana was held. The impressive interior contains mementos and monuments to many of Britain's heroes including Nelson, Wellington and Churchill. The famous Whispering Gallery is well worth the climb and the Golden Gallery (530 steps) provides a wonderful view of London.
