About Dubai

Facts | Shopping | Places of interest | Eating Out | Bars/Nightclubs

The city of Dubai has changed alot since I first arrived almost seventeen years ago. During those days the only place available to go out drinking was the Old Vic. (Does that place still exist?).
The Lodge now called CHI soon followed offering dancing under the stars and breakfast in the early hours. There was no traffic jams, and the highest building was the Trade Centre. Dubai now has the tallest building in the world that makes the skyline more impressive than New York. Our mobile phones keep on beeping with messages about more drinking dens, lavish restaurants and even now Etisalat welcomes us back. (At least all of us receive a message after a long trip).
